PA Technology

PA Technology commissioned us to design a product for part of the Abbey National "Cornerstone" estate agency chain. The brief was to design and manufacture a full colour frame grabber card to interface to the ISA bus. The card was used to integrate full colour still camera image capture to data compression techniques as part of the Abbey National Estate Agency chain electronic office. These techniques have now become commonplace but were leading edge technologies at the time.

Fibro Systems

Fibro systems produce an instrument to measure substrate absorption (the capability of paper to absorb ink) by means of observing and measuring the collapse of a meniscus formed by a drop falling onto the substrate. We designed and manufactured a frame grabber to control the timing of the drop actuator and capture into memory a sequence of images in real time. The images were then available for replay and to a PC for analysis. Two versions of this card have been produced, an ISA bus version which was followed by a PCI version.

BAe Systems

We were commissioned to provide an interface card to a Pixel Fusion graphics card capable of capturing a monochrome image of 8 bit grey scale at a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels refreshed at 60 Hz. Our brief was later extended to allow full DMA capture to the PC graphics memory area. The board is reconfigurable to provide direct image capture in a wide range of formats.

DERA

We were commissioned to design and manufacture two linescan systems with image processing software and data archiving of 4000mm x 300mm X-ray films. The systems included the film transport systems illumination and optics within a single enclosure coupled to a host PC to provide image processing and data archiving.
