Some of our customers...

Perkin Elmer

The design brief was to provide an Integrated VGA card and frame grabber that would display live colour video images within a window, by a direct overlay technique, without consuming bus bandwidth. No other cards of this type were available hence the need to commission a design. About 1000 boards have been produced to date. This is a classic example of the kind of design and build project that we undertake, resulting in the the VCG card.

Johnson Matthey

The client built a new factory in Brussels to manufacture exhaust catalysts for motor vehicles. We supplied four vision systems to guide robots at automatic weighing stations to pick catalysts from a moving conveyor, place them on a weighing machine and replace them on the moving conveyor in their original position. A control computer to collated the results and communicated them to a central management computer.

BASF

We designed a system to enable registration of polymer printing plates. These plates are easily damaged and replacements need to be supplied. The system recorded images of tthe original plates on a video recorder so that the image could be recalled to enable the new plate to be registered in the same position as the original.

Exact Technology

Exact Technology make very large plotter systems which when fitted with a variety of plotter heads can be used for many applications apart from plotting. A very successful application is the cutting of carbon fibre sheet for making Formula 1 bodyshells. Vision Dynamics has designed and supplied a vision system which can automatically track the edge of a pattern and store the list of edge points in a standard (DXF) graphics file format. The plotter can be used to reproduce the pattern at will.
