Vision Dynamics offers design services for OEMs (Original Equipment
Manufacturers), specialising in the field of computer imaging systems. We have
designed image capture devices (framegrabbers), intelligent image processing cards,
robotic systems, motor controllers, print alignment systems, automatic profile
tracing systems, scanners - too many to mention in detail. Hardware has been
targeted at a large number of environments and computer buses, including VME, ISA and
Q-Bus, but nowadays is usually targeted on the PCI bus. We take a design from
conception, through logic design, PCB layout, prototype manufacturing
and testing to batch manufacturing and testing if required.
Software Development Support
Along with hardware design, the company can provide software support on Windows
platforms, including Win9x, WinNT, Win2000 and Windows XP. Support might be the
provision of drivers for hardware developed by us but could also
include the provision of complete systems.
Our main areas of expertise is with the Microsoft®
Windows® platforms, with a particular emphasis on
Windows NT4.0 and Windows 2000. Our large scale projects
have involved image processing applications, motion control, industrial
control, and VBA Integration in both local and distributed computing
environments. Software written by Vision Dynamics developers has a
world-wide installed base, including sites in the UK, Europe, the USA and
the far East.
Collaborative Projects
Vision Dynamics has collaborated in a number of government funded joint venture
projects with academic and other industrial partners. The most recent being the
ACTIVE Project
with TWR ( formerly Daewoo) and the universities of Derby and Dundee. ACTIVE was a vision
based project for the control of in-car systems.
